Gospel Keys 202 is all about chord delivery and execution. In it Jermaine Griggs covers a systematic way to play worship songs by ear. He starts out with the seven basic tones of the scale and then delivers a massive amount of basic and extended chords to go with each scale tone. Next, he delivers his chord prediction system so you know which chord will likely come next in a song. Finally, he shows all of his techniques in action on a DVD dedicated to learning songs.

There is a lot here for me to like. The production quality is excellent, there is almost five hours of material on four DVDs, and it is priced right. The one thing I didn’t like is the fact that it is not geared towards melodic playing. It is better suited for accompanying a singer. Still, the chord theory learned here is priceless. If you can pick out a melody you will have no problem applying the concepts in this DVD.

Lesson Materials– The DVDs and cases are high quality. They have played without any problems in my DVD player and computer. The lesson footage is professional and of very high quality. The menus are very usable and intuitive as well.

Lesson Instruction – There is much here to be learned so you may have to watch it a few times through to get the feel for where he is taking you. Most everything was great but fell short of scoring perfect.
