It’s easy to buy a piano lesson video and anticipate the moment you get to view it for the first time. It’s easy to unwrap it and pop it into the DVD player. It’s even easier to sit and watch it with glee!

Here is the problem. The above actions will not get you playing the piano the way you want. Yes, it may encourage, motivate and even inspire you with a few ideas but that’s about it.

The only way piano lesson videos will teach us anything is if we go from watching to actually getting involved. We need to use what we find on the video, even if it seems hard at first.
